YomePiano Privacy Policy

In short

YomePiano is a rhythm game extension for YouTube. It does not collect, store on any server, or send any personal information.

This page is about the original YomePiano. YomePiano Online, the version with sign-in and world rankings, has its own policy.

What we do not collect

• No personally identifiable information (name, email, age, ID).
• No health or medical data.
• No financial or payment information.
• No authentication credentials.
• No private communications.
• No location data.
• No browsing history or history of websites visited.
• No analytics or tracking.
• No sharing of data with third parties.

What is stored, on your device only

YomePiano only stores data on your own device, using Chrome's storage. It stays on your computer and is never sent to any server or third party.

• Game settings (sensitivity, key mappings, visual effects, timing offsets).
• Your game scores and statistics.
• Your best scores per video.

Permissions explained

• Audio capture (tabCapture): captures the audio of the YouTube tab you start the game on. The audio is analysed on your device to detect notes. It is never recorded, stored or sent.
• Offscreen documents (offscreen): runs the audio analysis in the background without blocking the video.
• Storage: saves your settings and scores on your device. Scores are labelled with the YouTube video ID and title so you can see your best runs.
• Website access (youtube.com): the extension only runs on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/*), and the game appears only on video pages. It is loaded on every YouTube page because YouTube changes pages without reloading. It reads the video element and the video title, and draws the game on top of the page.

No third-party services

YomePiano does not use:

• Analytics services.
• Tracking pixels.
• Crash reporters.
• External servers or APIs of any kind.
